Unit description
This unit provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to recognise the steps that need to be taken by the buyers’ lawyer and the additional steps required if also acting for the buyers’ lender. They will be introduced to the instructions required from the client
In addition they will gain knowledge of the procedural steps to take when dealing with buying a property.

To achieve this unit a learner must:
- Investigate taking buyers’ and lenders’ instructions
- Explore the requirements for surveys and searches
- Examine checking the Contract, Title and enquiries before contract
- Explore different types of mortgages and indemnity insurance
