Unit description
In this Unit learners will revise the key stages of a sale and purchase transaction and then examine the requirements of a binding contract. Learners will explore the contract conditions applying to conveyancing transactions, looking at both the Standard Conditions of Sale and the Standard Commercial Property Conditions.
Learners will then investigate the drafting of contracts and examine the amendments a buyer's lawyer may want to make. They will explore preliminary enquiries and look at investigating title in both registered and unregistered land.
Finally, learners will explore dealing with title problems by way of indemnity insurance and examine the special concerns when acting for a developer client.
