Unit description
This unit provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to understand some of the concepts and documents common in commercial leases. They will be introduced to the need for landlord’s licences in their various forms and learn about why they are required. Learners will explore how repairs are dealt with through Dilapidations and Schedules of Condition and will explore the circumstances in which Deeds of Variation, Surrenders and Mergers occur.
In addition they will gain knowledge of the financial aspects of leases and what remedies may be available for breach of covenant.
