Unit description

This unit provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to understand the long term protection measures open to the local authority under Part IV of the Children Act 1989.  They will be introduced to the procedure and effects of obtaining a care or supervision order.

In addition, they will gain knowledge in relation to relevant funding, human rights and conduct issues.
