Unit description
This unit provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to understand the local authority social services duties and responsibilities in relation to Part III of the Children Act 1989. They will be introduced to the support and services offered to children and families under this part of the act and to the process and assessments that can be made.
In addition, they will gain knowledge in relation to Child Protection Conferences and the Child Protection Register.
